The Pololu Adjustable Step-up Voltage Regulator U1V11A is a compact device designed to efficiently boost input voltages as low as 0.5 V to an adjustable output voltage ranging from 2 V to 5.25 V. It features a true shutdown option that completely cuts off power to the load, unlike typical boost regulators. Additionally, it automatically switches to a linear down-regulation mode when the input voltage surpasses the output voltage, making it suitable for various electronic projects.
This regulator is compatible with standard solderless breadboards and perfboards due to its 0.1-inch pin spacing. It offers a typical efficiency between 70% and 90%, with an input current capacity of up to 1.2 A. The thermal shutdown feature activates at approximately 140°C to prevent overheating damage.
